Hi Anita,A very nice post.I have one question : How can we Record Software Simulation in Assessment mode in the following scenario :
ReplyDelete1.laptop 1 has Adobe Captivate installed and is the source recording machine
2.laptop 2 has the software for which the recording and simulation needs to be done but this does not have captivate.
3. We use Epiphan's VGA2USB device to perform screen capture from Laptop 2 to Laptop 1 using Epiphan Capture Tool software.
My Question is : How can we get the clicks done on Laptop 2 be recorded using Captivate on Laptop 1?
Your response is highly appreciated.
Thanks
Raghu
Thanks! In the End User Agreement (EUA), you are allowed to put the captivate license on two machines. Does that help?
DeleteAnita, let me rephrase my question:How can you record a software simulation on a Client Desktop / laptop wherein the client does not allow installation of Captivate on their machines.
DeleteI would like a way to perform a non-intrusive way of recording a software simulation.Have you encountered such a scenario?
Thanks
Raghu
No, sorry, I have not encountered such a scenario! There is not a way of capturing simulation, that I know of, unless you have Captivate or some other software downloaded on the computer. Sorry!
DeleteI am good in Adobe Captivate. Recently I am providing Online Captivate Training. I am teaching to the people easily over one conference software at where a lot of people have joined there.
ReplyDeleteHi,
ReplyDeleteCould someone please let me know whether recording in 2 Software Simulation modes at the same time (e.g. demo and training) generates 2 separate files that need to be edited separately? I was hoping that any changes made to one mode would be applied to the other mode (as uPerform does, for examples).
Thanks!
Unfortunately, the answer is no the demo and training simulations, although are created at the same time, they are not "connected" in the editing process, so you do have to edit them separately.
