I tried to do this interaction in Captivate 8 but was not able to because in advanced actions, you couldn’t time the effect and you also couldn't delay actions.
But now, with Adobe Captivate 9, I was able to create a very cool interaction using advanced actions to create my effects, and delayed actions to time my objects, audio, and states. And this is all HTLM5 compatible in fact, this interaction was created as a responsive project.
The following instructional video is about 17 minutes so it is long!! But, I do take you through step-by-step on how to create this interactions.
I don't guess there is a written version of this somewhere that I could reference?

DeleteThanks for the video. I've been using Captivate for years but have kept my modules simple enough to not have to use the advanced actions. This is a great introduction! Question...I think you mentioned that groups can be assigned the same effect. I haven't been able to do that. For example: on one slide I have ten different text captions coming in at different times and I want each to have the effect EaseInRight with a duration of .5 seconds. I haven't found a way to assign that effect simultaneously to all ten captions. I have to assign it to each separately. And when I try to group them and assign that effect only the top caption gets the assignment. Am I doing it wrong? Is there a way to simultaneously assign an effect across multiple captions/selections? Thank you!
Hi, what version of captivate are you using? Captivate 8 does not provide the group effect option. Only captivate 9. If you have captivate 9, you can group the objects on the timeline and then go to the timing tab and apply an effect to the entire group of objects.
