Record New Software Simulation in Adobe Captivate using Mac

An Adobe Captivate friend of mine, Alice Acker, Aptus Learning Design, Inc., asked me about why she was getting the below error when she went to record a new software simulation using Adobe Captivate 6.

She knew I had just bought a brand new Mac and figured I would know. I was sure I could figure it out (even though I use Adobe Captivate 7). I remembered doing this once before using Captivate 6. 

So, confidently, I went to:  Preferences > Accessibility; however, there is no place to check 'Enable Access for Assistive devices. I tried a few things and still couldn't' figure it out!!! FRUSTRATING!!!! (Which is why I am writing this post).

So, I called Alice and asked her if she'd figured the issue out, and told me she had. 
Here's what she told me:

If you're using Adobe Captivate on Mac and want to record a software simulation: 

Go to Preferences > Security & Privacy

Then go to Privacy (at top) and Accessibility (on left):

In the bottom left hand corner click the lock to unlock (you may have to put in your password). When you do the icons will not be grayed out any longer and you can click on the Adobe Captivate check box.

 Then lock it again:

Now you'll be able to create software simulations again!
